OLYMPIC EXPERIENCE AS A BLUE JACKET VOLUNTEER

My Olympic time in a blue jacket.
As Vancouver residents we were invited to witness the Olympics from the first row, but I wanted to experience the Olympics on a more personal level. Working behind the scene as a volunteer would be for me, the best way to feel part of the Games.
From the time I submitted my application, thru the different training sessions I received, I met other volunteers who were also preparing and making room in their life, to live their Olympic experience to the fullest. It was a once in a lifetime kind of moment – and I wanted to make the most of it.
I was offered and accepted a post at UBC Thunderbird arena, to work with a group of protocol and language services volunteers. UBC meant women’s hockey and two men’s quarter finals; and Hockey being my favourite sport – this was a ... >> full

DES CHIFFRES ENCOURAGEANTS !!

Apres un debut d'annee tres lent, 2009 s'est termine en brisant des records.
Les chiffres de vente du mois de decembre 2009 placent ce mois au troisieme rang parmi les plus hauts dans les 90 ans de l'histoire de l'immobilier du grand Vancouver.
Grace aux taux d'interet favorables, l'economie qui se remet en marche et s'ameliore apres la recession et la confiance accrue des acheteurs, le marche immobilier s'en est ressorti sans trop de peine.
Les ventes residentielles de decembre 2009 ont augmente de 172.2% par rapport a decembre 2008 et le prix moyen a augmente de 16.2% pour la meme periode.
Quelle belle fin d'annee!!

RECORD BREAKING DECEMBER

What a great finish to the year 2009 !
December 2009's homes sales ranked third in highest selling December months in the 90 year history of the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board.
Following record low sales beginning of the year, lower interest rates, improving economic conditions and more confident consumers led to the resurgence in the Greater Vancouver housing market.
Property sales increased 172.2 % from Dec. 08 to 09 and the benchmark price increased 16.2 % for the same period.

EXCITANTS CHIFFRES DE VENTE DANS L'IMMOBILIER DU GRAND VANCOUVER

On a maintenu un chiffre de vente super en septembre - le 2e plus haut jamais enregistre pour un mois de septembre.
Les ventes montent et le nombre d'inscriptions montent lui aussi.
Plus que jamais, il semble que Vancouver est un marche unique - une station de vacances urbaine - et plusieurs acheteurs ayant repris confiance sont prets a y investir.
Il faut saisir cette occasion pendant que les taux hypothecaires sont encore avantageux.
La Banque du Canada nous promet de les maintenir aussi bas - mais jusqu'en juin 2010 seulement.
Il me fera plasir d'en discuter davantage avec vous.
